State Statute mandates that all districts in Florida must offer virtual instruction.  Districts that do not qualify for sparsity exception must provide three virtual enrollment options for students.  A Florida District Virtual Instruction Program Network collaborates to provide affordable instruction programs through content and service contracts with member districts.  Contracts with other districts must be negotiated for pricing and general terms.  The Director of Purchasing and School Board Attorney submit minor wording changes to districts as necessary for finalization of contracts.  The Director of Purchasing needs authorization to contract when language is finalized.

Instruction for students contracted through 7006 generate $3,995 for the providing district for each successful completer if full-time, or pro-rated percentage if part-time.    Districts contracting content only through Clay County will be charged a one-time $500 per course.  Should contracting district wish to use Clay’s LMS, an additional $10/student would be charged.
